OPEN ROLE · PRODUCTION

Remote Video Producer

Our clients record from home and ship premium video. The distance between those two facts is you. Yes, this role is itself fully remote. That's the point.

The job

You run remote capture sessions end to end: guest prep, tech checks, camera and lighting coaching over the call, and directing the conversation so the honest moment gets captured, not the rehearsed one.

What you'll own

  • Remote recording sessions for client podcasts, fireside chats, and testimonials
  • Guest experience from booking confirmation to "that was easier than I expected"
  • Tech and setup coaching that makes an executive's home office look intentional
  • Session direction: the questions, the pacing, the second take nobody resents
  • Handoff to edit with selects and notes, so cut-downs start from the good parts

Required expertise

  • Remote capture platforms at a professional level: local recording, resolution and bitrate management, failure recovery mid-session
  • Signal chain diagnosis over a video call: mic placement, gain staging, echo, lighting color and direction
  • Camera guidance for non-technical guests: framing, eyeline, background, using whatever hardware they own
  • Interview direction: pre-interviews, question architecture, redirecting a rambling answer without bruising an ego
  • Production ops: multi-show calendars, session logistics, asset handoff with timecoded selects

You, probably

  • Have produced remote interviews, podcasts, or webinar-grade video at volume
  • Direct without dominating: guests leave feeling sharp, not managed
  • Know the difference between a conversation and a Q&A, and can steer toward the former
